As there are sites requiring memberships, a lot of them now use wordpress to host their sites thanks to wordpress membership plugin. Online forums on animes or even forums of any kind, require their members to sign in before they can attend the forum discussions. As there are sites with membership fees to avail of additional features, the sites with free memberships just ask for donations. I am a member of a lot of forums, but I have never paid any membership fee because my sole reason for attending online forums is to discuss my interests. I used to date someone who was an admin of an online forum and he told me that he liked using WordPress as a homepage because it offered good templates. WordPress is unique in a sense that it offers a lot of freedom on what can be done with the site in terms of design, template and layout. To allow more organization among clients, online shops now have memberships that members have to sign in before they can buy from the site.   The safety that online shop membership provides is encouraging enough to trust the site in the services and products they offer. I guess it is no secret on how wordpress offers such features, but for those who are not knowledgeable on such features, consider this post as your FYI. I am a wordpress account user, I actually have three blogs hosted by it, but none that requires members to sign in to the site. Trying out the membership plugin in wordpress is a must for people who owns sites that requires members to sign in to them.
